Quote:Also, if I try to edit, either by hitting the "Edit" left menu item or by running "MyRadioEditor.exe" outside of gbpvr, I get an error message saying "Could not open/create the default menu file C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Media\WebRadio\MyRadioStations.x ml" and it's true, no such file exists.

I also have this problem, I've tried adding the MyRadioStations line in the config.xml but no joy. Any tips?

Scratch that, I did some playing and got it working, a combination of not knowing about the ctrl-k and pointing config at the wrong directory

About to have another go with this plugin after fiddling with my server Smile

What I'm not quite sure about is do I have to install first with the v.2 batch file installer before using Martin's basic installer to update or will I get a full installation by just running Martin's v2.03 installer?

Cheers

MixMan's installer includes about 10MB of icons that really make the skin impressive. My installer is just the core plugin (.5 MB) but it also updates MixMan's. Neither package includes the UbuRecordingService needed by the MVP/NMT

Well I have to say this is fantastic! I had some problems last time I installed this plugin that I never ironed out.

Having had some hit & miss attempts over the years with Ubu Radio this is just brilliant. Clean install, just had to copy skin contents of Blue to Community and it just all worked. Web Radio over my MVP's working properly for the 1st time Big Grin

WAF has just gone up loads, maybe I can finally get rid of the old radio she insisted stayed in the Kitchen!!!

Thank you so much for all the development that has gone into this, awesome.

Mainly irrelevant probably as just to have it on an MVP is superb but this will only work with 1 MVP using the plugin at 1 time, is that right?

Very cheers

Great to hear it's working for you. Yes currently only one MVP or NMT can run from Web Radio at a time. The UbuRecordingService needs to be changed and I didn't want to go there for this first release. It's on my roadmap though.

Apparently, Elmo got his MyRadioStations working.
Im not having the same luck.
I have both of these lines in config.xml
<MyRadioStations>C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\media\WebRadio\MyRadioStations.xml</MyRadioStations>
<MyRadioFile>C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\media\WebRadio\MyRadioStations.xml</MyRadioFile>
MyRadioStations.xml exists there, but is zero size (empty). Should there be some sort of skeleton items in there ?

If I hit Ctrl-K when on a station and running pvrx2, it boinks out to the GBPVR main menu.
Logs incl.

I'd start by deleting the zero-byte file, it should be created with the first save.

There are a few other problems if you want to edit the file using MixMan's editor. It is rough, it doesn't read config.xml and I think it reads from media\MyRadioStations.xml which you could use if you like. I never really used it because it is not Vista/Win 7 friendly and I point my file outside the GBPVR directory.

If there is no config.xml entry it reads and writes from your temp folder.

That fixed it Martin, Thanks.

Ctrl-K at the pvrx2, and the left menu 'add favorite' at the MVP both seem to work fine now.. they end up in My Radio Favorites.

I see now that "Net Radio Favorites" is the saves from the native Net Radio of gbpvr. Interesting that you make the cross-application data available.

Thanks again for opening up this little corner of the gbpvr world a whole lot wider. So much music, so little time..

Thanks for the update. The Record key on the MVP and the Angle on the NMT will update Favourites too.

I'm a big fan of Internet Radio so the plugin was a logical fit for my interests. I have to get the Live365 update packaged up sometime. There's quite a few more specialty stations to listen to once you have finished with the others.
