Thought I was all set when I got the EPG problem figured out... I set up several recording sessions, then played around with watching some live TV...
I put on 'The Poseidon Adventure', worked fine, sounds was fine...
hit 'esc' to get back to the guide... went to another program, and I had picture but no sound... now no matter where I turn to, I have no audio....
I here the dinks and such when I click on webpages and such, so I know the sound card and my Receiver work fine... is there a way to mute the sound in GB?? I'm thinking I may have errantly hit a key or something... otherwise I'm starting to think the Audio input on the Hauppage 250 card died...

Any ideas???

Getting closer... Wink

As described in the first post, GBPVR has stopped presenting sound on playback. My son was using GBPVR to watch a show and must have done something (hit some set of keys). Did you ever figure out how to get sound turned back on? I dug through the documentation and forums, but didn't find an answer. I tried all kinds of things: restarted GBPVR, the recording service, the computer. I can playback sound with files with other players, no problem. And sound from the computer is working normally in all cases, except GBPVR playback.

Any ideas?

I remember the mute button for the 150 not letting go once it's hit.

If you have sound in WinTV 2k, then this is not it.

OK, this is turning out to be a real problem (and quite strange). I uninstalled GBPVR, removed all the directories, rebooted, installed the GBPVR software afresh, rebooted. I'm still not getting sound through GBPVR (for anything, livetv, libraries, radio, etc.). What should I do?

GB-PVR remembers your last volume - its possible you've got it turned down. Play an MP3 file, go to the main menu, then press the right arrow several times.
