First thanks for this fine plug-in but I'm having a few issues.

1. After installing the viewer on my server unit, it is still updating the DB some 20+ hours later. It's now on movie 3856/8174. I am on a fast connection so what am I doing wrong?

2. Also, I added the plug-in to GBPVR on the server and it displayed just fine. But when I select it to run, the PVRX2 stays on the screen and the Netflix Viewer does not display.

Any suggestion? BTW it's working fine using the queue mode and stand alone.

2. You cannot use VMR9 Fullscreen exclusive, it doesn't allow anything to take over the screen in that mode. I am suspecting that is whats wrong there.

The program occasionally runs slow when updating the queue, I think I tied it to internet explorer. Try closing all of your internet browsers and rerun the program. It should speed up significantly. I also recommend making the database builder program the only thing running during the update.

To fix this, you'll need to click cancel on the database builder program and wait about 30 seconds for the program to completely close. Then open the main program and set the time to update to 1 days. Then reopen the database builder program and let it run. Once it completes, then open the main program and set the update days to 2 or more.

Let me know if youa re still having trouble with this after trying Snooze's suggestion.

OK. Got it running on both the host and my Living Room client.

One more question, if I may ... I have a MCE2005 remote. Can this be made to work with this? And if yes, how?

Thanks.

I use eventghost. i love the program, it is very versatile and is fully customizable.

The remote codes for eventghost are included on the first post if you choose to use it. But you can use HIP also, but I found this program much less user friendly.

Version 1.6.0.0 is out. I had to make some minor changes to my program to make it compatible with Netflix's terms of agreement for the API. So I also added a movie trailer download. Let me know what you think of the new version!

Nice work DH. I was playing with the trailers feature. With a little updating of the Windows Media Player section in my irremote.ini file I got it to work completely (i.e. fixed volume up/down, fast forward/reverse, skip forward/reverse, Enter/exit full screen, and exit WMP. Pretty cool. Just so everyone knows, not all the trailers can fast forward and rewind.

I am attaching an updated irremote.ini modifications if anyone needs it. It now includes the new Ctrl-T for trailers (I put it on the CC button), and what I modified to get the WMP11 to work with the remote. I am not sure if it is the same for any other version than WMP11 so be aware of that.

Finally got NetFlix to display in GBPVR Menu once I got 1.6.0 downloaded, updated and configured in GBPVR config plugin menu.(Server and Client) Now when I open GBPVR and try to open NetFlix I get nothing (tried VMR9 Custom and overlay). Is there a parameter I need to enter in the external configure window to get it working?

Cool! Thanks for the update, I don't think the file in the first post had the ctrl-Y and the ctrl-shift-F either.

I'm glad you liked the feature, I realized the need for it since the paragraph descrioption doesn't always give enough info about the movie. Now, if I can just figure out a way to download videos directly from videodetective.com when not available from netflix, I'll be all set.

Oh, and I actually recommend using VLC (http://www.videolan.org/). You can set it up to open automatically into full screen and you can fast forward/rewind any file. Keyboard shortcuts are here: http://www.whoismadhur.com/2007/12/29/vl...shortcuts/

Hey DL,

Forgive me if I ask some stupid questions... Smile

1) Does the program work if you run it externally?
Ignore these if aswer is yes.
1a) Do you have .net 3.5 installed?
1b) Have you logged into netflix on internet explorer and clicked
remember me (shouldn't actually need to do this, but better to
rule it out)?
1c) Open the .ini file, make sure that the foreground and
background are not the same color
1d) Are all the files present (should be 10)?

2) Did you accidentally set it up to open the Netflix TX Database Build.exe
file? It should point to the Netflix TX Desktop.exe file.
