Yeah, I was looking to get your queue log, but you sent the over all log. But it will only generate it if you are missing one of the movies from your queue in your database. Let me try something and I'll get back to you with a test version. It will probably be a couple of days.

OK snooze. Use this program and send me the 2 most recent logs (it may create more than one log). I added some logging to the queue build. This will help me isolate the issue.

Also, did you have any of the problems that Richt was talking about? I'm trying to see if it was an isolated incident.

I ran the app, it didnt build any new logs. Should I re run DBB and then run the new NTD? Anyway, I had to tell you the new results just running the app. It showed 9 movies in the alpha and star sort, but then when it got to the numeric sort THEY WERE ALL THERE, 207! You are zeroing in on it! Sorry to be so short I got a 3 hour ride in front of me this morning for a meeting. Let me know what to do to make the logs build, I can get back at it tonight when I get back. I would consider the amount of listings issue gone. I think it is just the amount it shows in alpha and stars the first cycle of sort, they are all there now after the first cycle through.

dhgb256 Wrote:Sorry you had so many problems with it. Was it not progressing through the pages? The newest version of the database build will display a counter like 1/14, 2/14, 3/14 and so on during step 1 and step 2. Also, I'm not sure why but if you have IE open during the database build it seems to slow it down. Let me know if any of that applied.

Also, what version of DBB are you using?

Sorry, but I can't remember too many details. As I recall, the page it seemed to be stuck on kept saying Step 2 of 2.

I am not sure how to determine the db version. When I re-tried the process with your build 1.5.0.2004, I deleted the entire contents of the directory BEFORE I ran the program, including the .ntf file, so I assume it was the latest version.

One other positive note for me, is that I was doing all this testing on a separate PC from my HTPC and when I got ready to try it out on the HTPC, I simply copied the existing (working) folder and all contents to the same folder on the HTPC. On first launch, it asked me to link to the Netflix account, did a quick download and then ran the application without problem. It seems to work fine, but if you have any reason why this was a bad idea, please let me know.

I use EventGhost for my remote and was able to map all program functions to keystroke commands in EG. Works great!

Hey Richt,

The reason I asked about the DBB file is because I release 1.5.0.2004 twice. I forgot to update the DBB file the first time. The proper version number is 1.0.3621.1665

To check it you right click on the file and click on the Version tab. It will list the fie version at the top. It might be easier to just recopy the dbb file though. Just in case.

And yes, that is a perfectly acceptable way of transferring the program to your HTPC. that is what I do too. But I need to ask. Did you delete the movieinfo folder also when you did the database rebuild? I forgot to specify that in the directions.

EDIT: Also how many files do you have in your movieinfo folder?

Hey snooze,

i ran it on my computer and it produced the logs. Can you try again? Did it produce any blank files?

Also, when you did the database update did you delete the movieinfo folder before running it?

Ran what. I am not sure what you want me to run. The NTB or the DBB? Do you want me to delete the movieinfo folder contents?

Sorry, the Netflix TX Desktop.exe file that I put in my previous post. It should tell me why it isn't loading the queue initially. It should create one log file, but possibly two.

I realized I never told anyone that they needed to delete the movieinfo folder before doing a full database update (I have updated the instructions). It shouldn't be necessary, but it can cause problems, so it is better to do it. I'm thinking that is why the program isn't working correctly.

It is loading all 207 now, it is only that I need to cycle through the sort mode. Still need the logs? It says 207 in them too.

Yes please. If I don't find anything wrong in there, then i think I might need to make a database cleaner. Because I have a sneaking suspicion that because I didn't tell you to delete the movieinfo folder, that some records got goofed up and that might be causing the problem. I am going through the code now and I found 2 spots where the movieinfo folder not being deleted would have caused problems. I'm fixing it so you don't need to delete it in the future.
