Hi MovieWiz,

when can we expect a spin of the code? I've send some suggestions for the mymovies.xml support (which is partially there, descriptions don't get loaded but cast and the other stuff does) as well as a database "purge" option which makes sense if you are running 100% local metadata.

My big problem is the German metadata which I can only easily get with Salami's Movie Organizer.

Thanks,
Dane

In a lot of threads, Wiz have said that he is busy with his "day job". As this is a hobby, we will have to be grateful for the great job he has done with all the tools for GB-pvr.
I presume that he will release updates as fast as he can.

There is a way to totally empty the db and that is to rename the moviewiz.db3, make a copy of moviewizEmpty.db3 and rename that.
But maybe that is a too effective purge... Wink

That's a fantastic idea -- simple and effective. As I said, since I get my metadata externally and store it with the film, nuking the DB is perfect (for me, that is!).

Yep, that'll work.

As for the new version... I don't have anything ready just yet. Put in another 18 hour shift yesterday (day job is turning into an evening and morning job too Sad). Hopefully as we approach the end of the year, things will slow down, and I'll be able to put out a new version with a few of the suggesstions that have been made...
