One note: the skip forward/back (ctrl-arrow) didn't work from the keyboard. Not sure I tried it in anything but full screen - maybe needs to be in not full screen? (Just read the manual and it clearly states cannot be in full screen - doh!) Episodes worked fine.

Thanks.

You can kinda use it in full screen if you add an {alt}{f4} before the ctrl or shift arrow commands. It just exits you out of full screen and does the fwd/rwd but you need to return to full screen manually after that.

Hey Mike,

Also, you don't need to run the DBB program if using it in queue only mode. Everytime you update your queue through the website it will cleanup the database the next time you open the program.

Ok I have a silly question, I assume since this an external app we should be able to open it from the GBPVR menu. I added it to GBPVR as an externall app and created the button, the problem is once I close the GBPVR config dialog and open it again (per the config process) it is listed as a button in the plugin list now then I close the config open GBPVR and it is not there. I don't know what I'm missing trying to display this external call in my GBPVR menu.

If you are installing it on a client, it must first exist on the server. I think you may also need to sort it in the plugins to be above exit. I dont know if that is old school now, I dont think I needed to do it. Oh, and to save yourself a lot of time, consider running the database builder on one machine, then copy the entire app folder contents to each machine.

I am ashamed to admit I have stopped using GBPVR. It didn't work well for my over the air reception, so I'm unable to test this. But I did use it when i started this project and I remember having to do everything twice. I opened the config added the program, then opened GBPVR. Closed GBPVR, opened the config menu (it was then displayed as a plugin) and then I checked it (make sure you added the check mark to it) and when i opened GBPVR it was there. I don't know if this helps, if not maybe Snooze or Mikeh49 can help you out.

Thanks, Done all the above many times before I ask the forst time, oh well guess I will keep at it until I figure it out. Weird that it is listed in the plugin under the config but not in the menu once you open the GBPVR menu regradless when I have it in the oplugin list above ot below the exit button.

It "just worked" for me. I defined the custom task: unique name, executable, description, checked return to GBPVR on exit and OK'd out of config. Then reentered config and the task was listed in the menu list. Checked the box for it, dragged to the desired position in the menu, and OK'd out again. Worked.

Maybe there is a setting in config.xml that prohibits custom/external tasks, or locks the menu.

And yes, that is a perfectly acceptable way of transferring the program to your HTPC. that is what I do too. But I need to ask. Did you delete the movieinfo folder also when you did the database rebuild? I forgot to specify that in the directions.

EDIT: Also how many files do you have in your movieinfo folder?
Yep, it was the older version of DBB. Probably explains a lot.
I just copied the movieinfo folder over. Didn't NOTICE any problems
I currently have 7690 files in the movieinfo folder. I have already upgraded to Version 1.5.0.39063

Seems to be working great!

One more silly question, what verison of GBPVR y'all running? I'm running v1.4.7 for both Server and client. All looks good in the plugin config.exe and did the same thing Mikeh49 did the very first time I set it up and nothing in the menu. I even un-installed it on my client and reinstalled GBPVR with no luck.

Hey DL,

You may need to ask this question in the forum for the actual GBPVR program. It sounds like an issue with the GBPVR functionality and maybe Sub or someone can help you out. Sorry I can't be of more help.
