DH,

Thanks for your replay and Happy Holidays.

Answers to all your questions..
1. Yes
1a. Yes
1b. Yes Login auto (both IE and Firefox and no Firefox is not default browser IE is)
1c. Black background and Yellow fonts
1d. Yes all 10 files are there plus the movieinfo folder.

2. I do have TX Desktop.exe in the configureation.

I can run this app without any issues outside of GBPVR, I really don't know where else to look at, I even went throught the GBPVR log files and only error's I saw as could not fine the task.png in the _taskimages folder which blue the defwult does not have.

Hey Daryl,

I know from experience that if you aren't expecting something as a programmer it can mess things up. So I would suggest that you rename the directory to e:\netflix1600\ and get rid of the periods and the space. These might be messing up GBPVR if the programmers did not account for this in the code. It is a shot in the dark, but might solve the issue. Let me know if this works.

Hmmm,

Two things also com to mind if the "." in the path aren't the problem. Is your .net 3.5 updated with service pack 1?

Also, something I noticed... I dont update my Stars Ratings, and I dont think DH does either. Might be worth a try to setting it to false.

Thanks Guys

I tried all, nothing seems to work using GBPVR opening exteranl apps. I love the Neflix App as a standaline app it works great. I have dotnet 3.5 sp1 running, like I said it works great as a app opening the NetFlix TX Desktop.exe, been using it like this since I downloaded 1.5.0 just cannot get GBPVR to open it.

I also have tested with other exteranl apps and it wil not open any of them from GBPVR. I even uninstalled my client side and did a complete new client install. The exteranl app is a keepeer and will keep using it as such if that is not a problem bets NetFlix Web site hands down..:-)

Thanks Guys

Did you try any of the GBPVR forums? Sub or someone might be able to help you out.

Well I jsut got word that I'm officially approved by Netflix. So my app will be added to their gallery. That make my applicaiton only one of two on their site that is made as a computer application and the only stand alone program Big Grin The other only works on Windows Vista/7 and uses windows media player as the front end.

Also, I have a new verison coming out tonight. I was waiting for netflix approval before posting it. I sped up all of the download operations, by about 10 times, added a status bar for trailer downloads; and added a screen to allow you to select ANY genre (including sub genres) on the site and add it to the search/startup list. You can add/subtract as many as you like. I also allow you to change the screen resolution to fit 4x3 movies, 16x10, or 16x9 movies to your screen (removes black bars by stretching the movie).

I'll post it tonight!

i'm thinking of signing up for netflix just so I can do this.
What kind of files do they stream down?
How much CPU / Video card do you need?

My media PC can just barely handle hulu.com.
Barely.

Hulu requires more system resources than Netflix IMO. This is what I found about system requirements for Netflix.

System requirements:

Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or higher, or Windows Vista/7
Internet Explorer version 6 or higher
Windows Media Player version 11 (DRM version 5145) or later
An active broadband connection to the Internet (1.5 MB or higher)
1.0 GHz processor
512 MB RAM
3 GB free hard disk drive space

The only added requirement for my app is .Net 3.5 SP 1

Check out this link for file type info: http://blog.netflix.com/2008/11/encoding...aming.html
