Hi. Hope someone can help..

I purchased, on line, a new USB DVB-T , without a label nor name. It came with Arcsoft Total Media software. This package works fine with live TV/radio. But it wont let me edit the saved mpeg files. I presume that the software has been doctored in China, as there is no version number mentioned either
So, I downloaded GB-PVR, but I now cant get live TV/radio at all.
Also I downloaded GraphEdit, for which the following file was used:

[AA PCTV]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=USB DVB-T TV Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=USB DVB-T Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

On setting up the 2 filters in GraphEdit, it says : Can not connect. It does not run.
For days I tried.
No doubt I missed some things along the way, but can't find what.
Hope someone can help
Thank you

Try doing a scan in GB-PVR, then post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

you may want to run a filtercheck.exe and post the log...
[maybe a typo or missing filter]

The .exe log is 43KB this site does not accept as it is too big

You need to zip and attach the files, immediately after attempting a scan.

The filtercheck log in your attachment does not show the device as being installed and I see no signs of attempting to scan in the config logs. The config logs get cleared each time you start Config.exe so you need to zip them immediately after scanning and closing Config. If you open Config again, it produces a completely new log.

That said, as long as the device is not showing up on your system (and in the filtercheck log), GBPVR will not be able to scan on it.

Yep - what he said. You need to have the device attached, and post the logs immediately after attempting a scan.

The device was attached troughout.
I am aware that the device is not installed, that's why I posted this thread start for help.
It does list in Device manager when I plug it in. However the pid&vid info is not known in the Google and Yahoo search engines.
I did also a search on its 2 IC numbers, I cant find any info on line either.
Yet it works with the Arcsoft version I have.
---------------
In Graphedit I can insert 2 filters on plugging in the device, but the filters seem not the be compatible, as manually drawing the connection in between fails. Nor does it "play"
Once I get this going. I might get gbpvr working as well and scan for channels.
If I copy any .mpg file into Graphedit, it draws all the video & audio filters and the file plays.
Like I mentioned before I don't know what to do next.
Thanks.
