Just added a Technotrend 1501C with CI, Alphacrypt CAM and official Irdeto2 smartcard from the cablecompany.
Had already two HVR-2200's for analogue channels.
EPG for the HVR-2200's is done through XMLTV and for the TT1501 I am using dvb epg.
As long as I am doing a manual update with the GBPVR tray applet everything works o.k. but the automatic update in the night at 2:00 is causing the GBPVR recording service to stop completely, no hang but a real stop. Restarting the service does not always work and I have to reboot the machine to get everything working again.
Windows event logs do not show anything aroud that time and even the GBPVR logs (see attachment) do not give me a clue what is happening here.
Has anybody seen this behaviour before?

There is no sign of any errors in those logs. I'd take another look in the Windows Event Viewer.

There is absolutely not any message in the windows event viewer around or after the epg update time. That was the first thing I looked for as mentioned in my previous posting Wink
First messages after the 2:00 am epg update in both application and systen event is at around 10:00 am this morning when I rebooted the system.
Will change the time to 4:00 am to see if that makes any difference.

As a temporarely solution I can swith over to xmltv for the digital channels. They are the same as analogue.
Will otherwise as a laste resort do a new install of the OS and GBPVR

You probably want to do that anyway. Its not a good idea to mix EPG sources for the same channels.

I remember having some mysterious trouble with automatic EPG update when setting up my system, I didn't investigate further but used the Cinergy C PCI HD card for DVB-EPG update, as it (strange enough) got 5 days of epg-data while the Technotrend 1501 card only got a few hours of data (for the same channels using the same cable). I was puzzeld over this but didn't bother to report it since the Cinergy card gets the data very well.

Another strange thing is that the Technotrend does not find ALL the HD channels while scanning, but after copying the tuning request from Cinergy it can receive the channels just fine.

The TT viewer finds all channels while GBPVR does not find all channels during scanning Sad
Have now switched over to XMLTV to avoid further problems.

Interesting that you have similar results. There's definitly something fishy about the Technotrend 1501 and tuning. Sub: is there anything you might want investigated about this?

Perhaps this is related to my EPG problem?
BTW: has somebody (Chris?) in the Netherlands a bda cache for the Ziggo channels (area 5555) to overcome my scanning problems?
