Hi everyone. First let me say I'm new to the GBPVR world and have been reading these forums for a couple days on getting things setup. So far I've gotten most things resolved, however there are a few outstanding items I cannot seem to get.

My setup is Win7 x64 and GBPVR v1.4.7. For testing only I'm using an ATI 600 PCIe with a basic cable input. This will change to digital HD once I prove it out.

I'm able to view the channel guide and watch tv just fine, however my issues come into play when I try to record or pause. The directory and file is created, however it is always a 0KB file.

Hopefully there's something simple that I'm missing.
I've attached my log files.

Thanks in advance

My master files dont have a "ATI Theater 600 Pro" defined. Is this a card you've tried to add to the direct.ini file yourself?

Yes. I followed the wiki for tuner cards not defined. I copied the ATI 650 Pro entry and renamed for the 600 in the direct.ini file.

What did you add exactly? Also post your filtercheck.log.

It looks like you've added a software encoder definition. Unfortunately software encoder cards are not supported in GB-PVR. Is this an AIW card? If so, these definitely dont work in GB-PVR.

Hi sub. Thanks for looking into this so quickly.

I didn't have a filtercheck.log file, so I ran the .exe. Hopefully that was the right thing to do. Attached is the output.

The card I have is:
http://ati.amd.com/products/tvwonder600/pcie/index.html
Is that an AIW?

Here's what I added to the direct.ini file:

You're need to run filtercheck.exe and post the filtercheck.txt that gets created.

Sorry, that card isnt going to work for analog with GB-PVR. It lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

Bummer. Silly me for trying to save a few bucks from WOOT a few weeks ago. Should I have gone for the 650 pro?
What devices (internal or external) would you recommend? I would ultimately like to run 5 inputs:
1 analog from cable
2 digital from Dish SD receiver
2 digital from Dish HD receiver

Thanks for the help.

That would have been a better choice.

Personally I'd stick with the Hauppauge devices. You're not going to find any device with the 5 analog inputs you'd need to achieve the above requirements though (Dish receivers will only be outputting SD analog). You'd need multiple devices.
