Hi.

On begin my hardware and software info:
WinXP SP3, GB-PVR 1.4.7,WinTV HVR 1300 TV card (latest drivers) + analog signal only

I have two questions:

FIXED by using VMR9 custom instead of VMR9 FSA
1)I just found that new version of FFDshow (rev.3167) is causing d3d device lost durning chanel change in GB-PVR. No problem in older rev.3151. So before i report this to FFDshow team i would like to known if this could be by some reason GB-PVR problem?
EDIT:
From log:
Code:
2010-01-03 21:58:40.937    ERROR    hr failed
Error code : 88760868
D3DERR_DEVICELOST
Device lost

2010-01-03 21:58:40.937    ERROR    CreateDevice() failed
Error code : 88760868
D3DERR_DEVICELOST
Device lost

2) some of my recordings are recorded without sound. I bet problem is in my WinTV HVR 1300 TV card, becouse it failed to init sound durning chanel change. It is little hard for me do describe, but i will try how i can reproduce simillar issue durning manual channel change.

It happend if i didnt configure video decoder in GB-PVR config and leave it to system default. In this case GB-PVR create graph without "GB-PVR Flow Status" filter before video decoder (like here - not related to haali, i am no longer use it to split MPEG2 + i always define video decoder now) - and my HVR 1300 sometime failed to init sound durning channel change. If i setup some video decoder, the problem is gone.
So this leads me - can it be connected to recordings without sound issue? Like GB-PVR create graph without GB-PVR Flow Status causing HVR 1300 didnt reinit if no sound problem happend?

Maybe i am wrong, but i am thinking "GB-PVR Flow Status" is controling data flow in if it detect there is no sound, it will tell to tuner to reinit, right? So maybe by some reason i miss GB-PVR Flow Status filter in analog recording graph?

Sorry to not post LOGs, but i do not have any right now.

Thanks for answer.

OK, i did some research and:

1) Can be solved by using VMR9 instead of VMR9 FSE

2) Looks like "WDM TV Tuner" is source of my problem. I can now reproduce it by ~10 times chanel change, then i have no sound. If i connect to graph and double click on this filter, sound start to work. Anybody have any idea how to fix that? Sad

I dont use a HVR-1300 here, but reading the description of this does sound like some driver bug. All I can really suggest is trying different versions of the drivers, or maybe contact Hauppauge support armed with some steps for reproducing this problem.

I doubt about thier help. I found ugly bug causing HVR-1300 randomly freeze durning wakeup, create tread on Hauppauge forum, but nobody from them even write something. After some time more users report exactly same problem. I even create fix for that (MCE addon), but after some time, Hauppauge delete my thread completly Sad

I had this "no sound" issue from first time i used GB-PVR (i think i updated HVR-1300 3x times without any effect), but i do not remember i had simmilar issue durning my usage of MediaPortal - but i can be wrong, it is now ~1 year i do not longer use it...
