I am having issues with using comcut to process commercials. The remux option fails every time. I don't want to automatically process ALL files recorded just a few select ones at times, that I then commercial cut and process into a dvd format. Comcut is no longer being persued/supported is there another free alternative? I have looked at the various comclean files but have not figured out how to make them work independently of the gbpvr pc. Aka with comcut I had a processing computer that had all the key files for comcut and I would simply copy the mpeg and all corresponding comskip files to that directory, then try and process it.

How could I do this with comclean and which version of comclean works best as there are 4 versions.

Thanks in advance for all your help

i guess everyone enjoys the commercials Big Grin

Personally the thought of saving ~30% disk space is really appealing...

I've been using comskip to create edl files and using those with mencoder. I think that one of the comclean versions uses mencoder.

One thing to note is if the vid is HD you need to set the mpegopts vbuf_size= to something like 400 or more.
