Hi !

it's been a long time since I came in with my newbies problems: everything was working just fine for years. Then I had this HardDisk crash... Installed version 1.47 and used a backup of my gbpvr.db3 file. The only thing that bothered me was the aspect ratio abberation (too large), that I corrected via ffdshow post processing. Would have prefered an internal solution.

When I choose slick skin, why is it still the blue background?

But not to get you confused, the log files included concern an installation on my other machine. Simply: no video no sound . A black screen and return to tv guide or menu. windows media center is installed and working well.

Another concern: m2ts files. Normal speed, no skipped frames, but, visible lines, as though it was in 320 lines.

thank you and do not hesitate to point me some articles that I may have missed.

My machine:

I7-920 8gig
windows 7 64 bits
Radeon HD 4350
Hauppauge hvr-1250

I also use k-lite codecs

Thank you!

This is normal. It only ships with the blue background, but the user can add additional files.

In the logs it looks like you've got the wrong capture card selected?

GB-PVR plays no active part in playback of .m2ts files. It just askes Windows to play them, an its responsible for choosing which decoders etc to use. There must be some bad default decoders installed on your machine.

Thank you Sub!

My capture card is

Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1250 (Model 79xxx, Hybrid ATSC/QAM)

the "devices detected in this machine" are

Hauppauge HVR-1700
Hauppauge HVR-1800MCE (analog)

I have tried both with no success. In the long list of capture devices, I do not find mine.

You cant use the HVR-1250 for analog with GB-PVR. It lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder. You can use it for digital though.

How come wintv, wmc and sagetv can display live tv from my local analog cable provider and yours would not?

Just because I chose not to bother spending my limited time on adding support for analog soft encoding devices. Instead I focused my efforts on hardware encoding analog devices, and digital devices.

Sorry if I seemed to be complaining... I was only surprised. I went to Hauppauge site and understood what the issue was. I did not know that analog tv was soft encoded. Would have hoped that a third party encoder would do.

Thank you again

P.S.: I have downloaded your wonderful leaves
