HI.

I have 3 of these cards in my PC and I have inserted this entry in the
bda.ini file

[DNTV Hybrid LP S2]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="713x BDA DVBT Tuner"
FILTER_CAPTURE="713x BDA Digital Capture"
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Unfortunately my scan does not seem to find any channels.

Does anybody have any suggestions ?

Log files and filtercheck.log (zipped) attached.

I have another of these cards at home, and I will try there also, and
see how I go.

TIA
Peter

Unfortunately there is no sign of any errors in those logs. It looks likes the device hooks up ok, but never locks a signal.

I also tried at home, with similar results. It is the same card, but the only one in the machine. This is more than a little disappointing.

I know the card(s) are ok, as the DNTV software works fine on them. It would not
be a licensing issue ?? Cannot see why.

Is there a generic BDA driver I can try ??

Do you have any other suggestions ?

As we have a mixture of digital and analog TV here (welcome to
rural Australia)... This software looks just like what I need.

I will try the analogue side and see what happens there ...
Cheers

The analog side of this device is unlikely to work. I'm pretty sure it doesnt have the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

For the digital tuning I can only guess there is something quirky about it's drivers that dont like the way GB-PVR does its thing. Hard to know what exactly though.

This is why I recommend people stick to Hauppauge devices. There is a lot of people here with them, and helps to have other people with the same problems to help you work through any issues. Also I've got most Hauppauge devices, so these are actually tested during development. Sorry, I know that doesnt really help you, but might help others trying to decide what devices to buy.

Whew that was quick. Must be 2 in the morning over there.

True, it does not have the hardware MPEG2 encoder, but I was
under the impression (browsing the forums) that your latest
version will do the encoding for me .. with the appropriate ?
filters installed.

Regarding the digital side ... I will ask on the DNTV forums and
see what they reckon.......

Sorry, thats not correct. There is a couple of Hauppauge devices without hardware encoders that do work, but only with the Hauppauge SoftMCE software installed.

Sorry .. I thought you were in Britain..

Bummer .... still on the trial of a single bit of software that does all I need.
Tx anyway

Will update this thread if I have some joy on the DNTV side of things..

Cheers
