Snooze Wrote:Digging into this issue couldn't hurt. the same thing happened to me but I remember you addressed what was causing it (even though I don't use IE).

What I am worried about NOW THAT I FIGURED OUT WHY MY DUMB A$$ COULDN'T GET IT TO UPDATE WITH THE EPG Big Grin is I let GBPVR go into standby in its main menu. Will this keep my machine awake for 20+ hours on the next database update?

Hey Snooze,

I changed the way the database update works now, so it shouldn't get hung up anymore. I have run ita few times (even with IE open) and it has never taken that long with version 1.8+.

I ran a complete DB load with 2.0.0.0 and found at downloading around 6015 of 8000 I start getting this error "(code 14523) contact dhgb256" any clue why I'm seeing this error?

That means the program wasn't able to download the movieinfo after 3 tries. This could be because the netflix site stopped responding, your internet connection dropped, or the http link was wrong. If you look in your log file you can see what movies were affected. I would rerun the full database load and see if the movies are properly added. If not, let me know.

OK, so I came up witha middle ground on the main program. The program now asks you if you'd like to update the database if the info is older than it is supposed to be. So, you are notified, but still able to continue using the program.

I also found a nasty little bug Sad When the program couldn't connect to the netflix website during a database update it would erase the entire database. I found this the hard way. So I fixed it too. Let me know if you find anything else buggy.

Yeah, hopefully I got it fixed now Smile

I added some error handling back in verision 1.8 and in the process created an error, I'm pretty sure that is the definition of irony Big Grin

Let me know if you run into any other troubles.

Ok DH

This is what I found
1. The DB update start throwing the code 14523 around 4012 of the download and I hate the popups. Ran it for over 8 hours a only got around 6k downoaded so I stopped it.
2. I used 1.6.0.0 DB on version 1.8.0.0 or higher and it locks up, once I use task manger to kill it the ldb file stays in place and I have to delete it manually.
3. Veriosn 1.6.0.0 will run just find, unable to update any of the DB after this version.

Oh yea one more think the popup if you want to update the DB, cannot click on yes or no to close it.

Hey Daryl,

1) Have you tried version 2.0.0.1? Both of the exe files should have ths version number.
2) Open http://www.netflix.com in internet explorer, are you already logged in? Sometimes I have to relogin because it loses the cookie.
3) Do you have all 6 library files? ClrExtensionsCore.Client.dll, HtmlAgilityPack.dll, Interop.ADODB.dll, Interop.JRO.dll, Interop.MSXML2.dll, WrapNetflix.dll
4) Did you update your database file in version 1.8?
5) Can you send me your database update log file and your ini file?

The reason I ask all of this, is because the program will try 30 times to download this information before kicking out that error. the only thing I can think of is that it can't connect to the netflix website for some reason.

Version 1.8 never updated due to the popups with the code 14523, this popup gets old after 1000 or so times. I don't have to login using IE or Firefox. I can open either browser without getting the login screen. So I know my login is working I test it before I kicked off the updates just to make sure, also I have all 6 dll's ask about in your posted. The file I attached I stop netflix db run after teh erro code 14523 started on file number 4 and keep poping up around 20 some files. This if from version 2.0.0.1 after I remove it and unzip it back in teh folder and rean the db build from the new files.

Hey Daryl,

OK, try this file for me please. I added some error checking logs to the function kicking out the problems. Please run this until you start seeing the 14523 errors and then shut it down and send me all of the GetMovieInfoLog files. I'll figure this out.

Also, what verison of internet explorer do you use? Not sure it matters, but I'm curious.

This really has me confused, because the getmovieinfo function uses all the same calls as the list builder and that part is working fine.
