OK thanks! Also, it will create a log file for every movie, so please cancel it after 3 or 4 errors, otherwise you'll have a TON of logs to send me Smile

If I missed it I apologize, but what kind of horsepower are we looking at to stream netflix smoothly?

Single core? dual core?
certain level of GPU?

I'm not a netflix subscriber yet.
I was waiting to see if my PVR can handle it first.

This is what I found online:

System requirements:

Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or higher, or Windows Vista/7
Internet Explorer version 6 or higher
Windows Media Player version 11 (DRM version 5145) or later
An active broadband connection to the Internet (1.5 MB or higher)
1.0 GHz processor
512 MB RAM
3 GB free hard disk drive space

The only added requirement for my app is .Net 3.5 SP 1

I can run it smoothly on an AMD 4800 (dual core), 2 GB RAM, and onboard graphics (256 MB). It doesn't bog down the computer at all either (~25-30% CPU usage).

I have used this external app yet, but I steamed a NetFlix video for the first time this weekend using my AMD 2500+ and it worked flawlessly. The PC has 1.5 GB of memory and an NVidia 7800 GS, so while it has a decent video card - better than onboard video - it's no high-end PC.

Glad you like it, always love to get new users Smile If you have any feature suggestions, feel free to ask.

It looks like you figured out the escape key. The escape key will close any screen other than the main form. You need to use alt-F4 to close the main form, or to get out of full screen movie watching. All other times, you should be able to use escape to close.

I'm not sure if you were asking about the text messaging type entry, but on the search screen or to find a movie in the movie list you can use sms type text entry by using the number pad. Zero = space.

kean Wrote:Yes I'm asking the text message entry for the search but when I press any of the num pad it like jumping one letter. Like num2 it type b directly. I have logi 880 remote programmed with MCE remote.

Is your HIP set up to block the native remote keys? If not, then when you press a key HIP will register it as a 2 and send it to the progam and the native 2 will also be sent, so it is like everything gets pressed twice. I know eventghost automatically turns off the native key functions when you use it, but I haven't used HIP before. Here is a website that explains the process:

http://www.byremote.com.au/Hip/mce_remote_faq.htm

And a snipet:

With HIP I get 2 Keys acknowledged for every key press - What is Wrong?
This is because you have NOT installed the MCE replacement driver...the default drivers issue both key strokes AND a MCE Codes. So you have 2 choices

1) Use the Keyboard Interface in HIP with the default driver and NOT the HipMCE Plugin
2) Use the Replace MCE Driver as described above
