Quality Settings for Digital

I've searched other posts. If I understand it correctly the broadcaster determines the recording quality for digital channels. So I take it that setting quality to medium or low will have no affect on digital channel recording.

thats correct you cant change it
you would have to do some sort of transcoding after its finished recording
or just buy bigger hard drives its easier

Correct. It wont even show the quality settings when scheduling a recording unless youve got analog capture sources set up.
