Force 16:9 aspect ratio for video file

I'm fine with the files being non-standard. No need for HD-PVR and I get comskip, multiple tuners, and whole house PVR with better than standard def TV with this solution. I'll make a donation to charity even though it's definitely not burning a hole in my pocket.

only problem i'm having is, my new sat box no longer has the 16:9/4:3 option!
i bet they figured this out and denied it on purpose to get us to go with the hd box for 16:9..
[plus they letterbox anything they possibly can,even when 4:3 is available]

it definitely looks better... tho probably only around 15% upscale in vertical direction..

and good one about the donation, you'll never see that from a commercial entity...
Haiti was one of the poorest nations on earth even before the disaster, i can't even imagine what it's like when you have nothing, and lose even that..

I'm using HD boxes. It's a much better source even though I capture at 480i, plus I get an extra channel I like.
