no recordings playback win7

i'm having a heck of a time getting a win7 client setup...everything looks to be working but the playback of recordings from recordings screen locks pvrx2 up..
videos play fine from video library..
tray app doesn't load server sources either, and i find this error i logs..

any ideas? i've tried several times with fresh installs of win7 and gbpvr..
same error in pvrx2 app logs and tray logs..file is there and ok...
do i have to setup homegroup or something?
i turned off firewall for home networks and uac..

Can you post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log?

here ya go...
i had cleared them out and just loaded pvrx2 and tried to view a recording..
tv guide displays fine, recording info all there too...so has me puzzled..
i only installed vc update on fresh win7, anything else i missed?

There isnt an obvious cause shown there, but I'm guessing its firewall related. If you can post the servers GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log & GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log, I can see if any request made it that far.

i have firewall off on client win7 machine for home networks...maybe need to do it for all..

There is definitely no sign of a connection making it as far as the server, so either there is still some firewall/antivirus software getting in the way, or you've entered the wrong server name.

fixed....call me silly but it needed the network setup on my computer/properties/computer name...i had to join my workgroup! lol

now all working well...seems none of those other settings made any difference at all...
geez, talk about funky...
i had already set my workgroup name in there as it isn't default 'workgroup' but apparently that wasn't enough..!

thanx for the help...wasn't much in logs so i was stumped..
plus the fact that sqlite had problems but still showed me data...
