One more thing that is just found out, that might help to solve the problem - As i wrote in my first message - whenever i'm trying to watch the channels, i get a black screen sometimes turning green and every few seconds a pixel or two. when that happens gb-pvr uses almost 1gb of RAM.

I tried running the program in compatibility mode to 2000, xp and vista, and when i'm trying to watch the channels i get a "no signal" message, but the memory usage is low (around 100 mb)

ok, i found a hacking tool that allows 3rd party codecs in win7 but unfortunately it doesn't help

the weirdest thing is that i can record, but can't watch. when i'm trying to watch something i recorded gb-pvr crashes.

I'm guessing this is related to the decoders you're using now. Reproduce the problem, and post the pvrx2.exe.log and the pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Sub - Thanks! I already have the he-aac decoder. i'll try to get the arcsoft or cyberling h.264 decoder, but isn't coreavc also a h.264 decoder?

Yes, but it works badly with live tv. It doesnt like the video standard changing dynamically when channel changes occur. This decoder seems to be aimed at people paying video files, rather than watching DVB H.264 chanels.

one more question - i think i have a ulead h.264 decoder. should i try this one?

If its listed you can try it, but I doubt it'll work. (and I've never seen a good ulead decoder)

ok, i attached 3 files:

Crash - the log files from when i recored something and the try to watch it

LiveTV - Trying to watch LiveTV - getting only black screen with a little green and a few pixels every now and then - takes 50% of the cpu and almost 1gb of RAM

No Signal - When i'm trying to watch Live TV in winxp compatability mode - Getting a no signal message.

Yes, that's what I meant, Unfortunately the log didnt show any obvious cause (for any of those three issues you posted logs for). Your description of the live tv issue sounds decoder related though, the crash may also be related to the decoder.

i bought a new dvb-t stick, and now from a known company - hauppauge.

it's called dvb-t ministick

and unfortunately, i have the exact same problem. i just can't watch liveTV. i can record and watch the recordings, but when i try to watch live tv i get a black screen or a screen with a message of no signal.

the device is not on the bda.ini file. i added it by taking the details from graphedit.

maybe i'm doing somthing wrong? because the config utility identifies the device, and i can find channels with it. i just can't watch live tv. it's not a decoder problem. i tried 3 different decoders.

in 7mc it works great, but i hate that software...

Can you post another set of logs?

From your previous description I thought it was decoder related, not related to your tuner device.
