Error On Live Tv

when i click on live tv it says "error: object reference not set to an instant of an object"
what should i do plz help

Make sure you have set your capture card type correct. Can you record shows?

yes i can record shows but i cant play them back (playback)

So, can you play them back in some other application? Windows Media Player, for example? When you say you can't play them back, do you mean that you get "object reference not set..." then, too?

Try different combinations of video rendering codec and overlay/vmr7/vmr9.

There you can set different video codecs (if you have more than one installed :-)) and also change between overlay/vmr7/vmr9

I doubt anything is wrong with the card, but of course it's possible. What card is it? Have you got it to work with the software provided with the card?

actually it think this card that ive got lifeview flytv prime doesnt work with the programme am i right ? the card works with the software provide fine . if u type this error up on google it says its got something to do with net 1.1 runtime

However, you might get it to work with the SoftwareRecorder plugin:

I have no idea how that works, though. If you search the forum, there probably is a thread on that plugin.
