Which drivers are compatible with GB-PVR? (Hauppauge PVR-150 & HVR-1600)

I did a clean install, put the cards in, downloaded drivers from Hauppauge for the PVR-150 and HVR-1600, got the .net and runtime update, and installed GB-PVR 1.4.7. Setup the EPG using the MS MCE tool, got my schedules, and then just got audio, no video. I didn't get it to to work until I install WinTV 7 from Hauppauge and had it tune both cards. Did I miss something? Should it have worked with just setting up the drivers themselves? Or is there additional stuff WinTV 7 does (did it change my drivers)? I did get everything working and have both cards happily humming away, I'm just curious where I went wrong...if I can even figure out where I went wrong.

It doesnt need anything from WinTV7, but it does need a MPEG2 video decoder, which you may not have had on your machine until you installed WinTV.

Thanks, I bet that's what it installed. I did not even think about codecs. I feel dumb right now.
