Will older MCE remote work with Hauppauge 2250?

Does anyone know if you can use the older MCE remotes with the 2250? I have been using the one I got with a PVR150MCE with my PVR 1600 without problems. I'm getting too many dropped recordings due to the 1600's weak QAM tuner and am going to swap them out with a 2250. I can get the 2250 without the remote, but didn't know if my current remote will work or not.

I'm also using IR Server Suite at the moment and am hoping that's compatible with the 2250 as well.

I don't have the Server Suite but I found an old remote from my PVR 350 and my PVR 500 (they look identical to me) and it's working for me with my 2250. My 1600 remote also works fine. Can't tell you I've tried every button to make sure it works but the up/down channel and volume work as well as a few channel changes.

Sounds hopeful - do your remotes have the USB IR box receiver? That's what I'm using - not the version with the IR Receiver that plugs into the card.

One of mine did come with the same remote you picture but it 'disappeared' long ago. The other 2 came with the one that plugs directly into the card. I don't use any of those now.
