Hi, I am new to this technology but last week got everything going .... almost. I run a Hauppauge 1600 on an older PC, GBPVR 1.4.7, Schedule Direct EPG. Out here in the middle of nowhere we only get analog cable TV. My set up is pretty simple. I record movies to a 250 GB external HD, edit them in VideoReDo, then burn them to disc.
Everything was just dandy until I decided to record in high quality. Now the recordings stop at 4GB file size - or 1.34 min run time - which cuts off the end of the movies. I increased the post show padding time to ensure a full two hour recording time, but that didn't change anything. Still had movies stop at 4 GB.
I'm sure it's something dumb I did or didn't do but I can't figure it out. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Dell Dimensions 3000, intel pentium 4 (3GHz)
XP Home, SP3
512 RAM (hey, it works)
Hauppauge 1600 (don't use remote because no STB)
GBPVR 1.4.7
Schedule Direct EPG
Western Digital 250GB external HD
Analog cable, no STB
