Egreat Won't Play Back Programs

I am in process of trying to get GBPVR to work with Verizon FIOS, recording local broadcast channels via ClearQAM with Hauppauge 1600 and 2250 capture cards. I just went through a complete channel scan for each of the capture cards and mapped the channels this morning.

I can play back the programs I record (both sound and video are OK) on the PC where GBPVR runs. If I try to play the recorded programs on another set using an EGreat to drive the TV, I get either picture and no sound or sometimes the screen just goes black with no sound. At times when the screen goes black I notice that the PC is downloading to the EGreat at only about 1Mbps while if it is downloading a program that can be seen on the EGreat TV it downloads at approximately 15Mbps. All recordings can ve viewed on the PC that recorded them.

To add to the confusion, I can record a program on a channel and then view it via GBPVR on the same PC that GBPVR is running on. If I try to watch the station (live, not a recording) inside GBPVR I get the following screen.

This is driving me nuts. Can anyone help me?

I suspect you are going to be asked for logs after you try to play a recording that doesn't play on your NMT, so it may be worth posting them now before Martin logs on

Here are the logs. There are some messages in config.exe.log about a key ablready having been added for TV Recording but I have had these "errors" for a long time (way before I transitioned to digital from analog recordings) and I don't believe they are related to this issue.

I also think I have resolved the issue about the missing mmc.xml file missing in the Community-WS skins. I reran NMTInstall and had it do updates for GBPVR and mvpmcx2.

The GBPVRRecordingService.log shows an error about finding an expired lease and I have no idea what that means.

The first zip file is labelled No Signal Detected.zio

SInce nothing in there was obvious to me I changed logging to INFO in CONFIG and tried to watch live tv and then to record a show. On the PC I could watch live tv and record a show. The recording would play back fine on the PC.

I'm not still getting the NO SIGNAL message. Do you have any idea what would cause this when I try to watch Live TV but not when recording on the same channels?

When I tried to watch live TV or play back a recording on another set via the Egreat I got the picture but no sound. I then zipped all the log files with dates newer than the first zip. I think you will find useful stuff there.

I didn't see a lot wrong in there. Community-WS did show at least one error (rectangle too large for 1280x720 "adding render hash: description:0,590,1280,158:True" so you might want to try blue.

Re-reading your post I see you did use NMT Install but no I am unclear if you have a video problem or not. Is the problem only with audio? How is your audio configured HDMI, analog or SPDIF?

Did you use NMTInstall to download the current mvpmcx2 and apply the 1.4.7 GBPVR updates?

I did mess around with (hand edit) the default height and width of MVP in config.xml because I was getting errors when I tried running the wide screen skin.

I'm pretty sure this morning I ran NMTInstall with everything checked except for install GBPVR and the mayhem skins. I did have it do the updates.

I also downloaded the slightly newer version of CONFIG (dated 9/22/09 8:00am).

I just changed to BLUE skin on the NMT and still get no sound.

I can run NMTInstall again if you think it would help.
