Firewall Requirements for NPVR...

Hi,

Could I please have a list of program and ports that must be allowed through the firewall for correct operation of NPVR? It appears that GB-PVR opened the ports it needed. This does not appear to have happened with NPVR.

Edit: I manually added NPVR.EXE and NRECORD.EXE. Is anything else required?

I saw another executable in the program folder and also gave permission for that, just in case. Can't remember what it was though.

I have Nextpvr.exe, Nrecord.exe and ntray.exe. I don't think you need ntray but I added it anyway.

I didn't add NTray.exe and so far nothing appears to have broken.

Someone please help.

I added NEXTPVR.EXE, NRECORD.EXE and Ntray.exe to exceptions in my windows 7 firewall. ( both private and public; network connection is private) And I still get no video and no sound. If I disable the firewall all together it works. I have do this many time with PCAnywhere and other applications and know how to configure a firewall. Any suggestions?

My personal version is slightly different, but I only released this for NextPVR and NRecord.

Thanks for the reply. I added NDigitalhost.exe and still have the same problem. I use a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime. The LED for the tuner tunes on but there is no video or sound displayed. Any other suggestions?
