i just noticed, no subtitles!? not in guide, nor osd nor anywhere! [ok,just recordings screen]
bug? not implemented yet? not gonna be implemented? [sure hope not!]

tons of my shows have no distinguishing traits besides the subtitle! so they all look same..
[i record lots of series']

please tell me that'll change...i prefer to show them everywhere a title gets shown..
[in guide info, library info, guide details popup, and last but not least, osd.]

or is it just a skinning issue where it needs to be added?

DVB subtitles still does not work correctly. When you activate the local subtitles, the picture starts to hang. The text still does not come up. Twice I saw a line of text just right.
Just after I changed the renderer to other.

Other texts I have not yet had time to try.

As far as I know external file subtitiles like srt are not working (at least to the PCH) and there's a problem with teletext subtitles, but I've seen the DVB graphic subtitles working on the PC in a few samples I have. On a positive note, North American style closed captioning does seem to be working well in the analog ts captures on the PC.

DVB subtitles works fine here, but external (like .srt and .sub) and teletext does not work yet. Sub has promised to look at it, but there are many things that needs to be looked at, and only 24 hours a day..Wink

I have installed the SAF codec pack with subtitle support for GBPVR.
This works perfectly in NPVR as well.
So on my machine, ffdshow handles all subtitles and it does so for all (that I use anyway) types of files.

Do you get subtitles from SD channels? And do they have Teletext- or DVB-subtitles in Sweden? What about .srt files?

I suspect it is DVB-subtitles.
What I meant was that ffdshow handles .srt, .idx/.sub for avis and mkv files.

pBS meant the subtitile of a show or episode that should appear in the TV guide, etc., not the text subtitles that play along with the video itself.

ie, if the show's Title is "Star Trek", then the subtitle would be the name of the episode, such as "The Doomsday Machine".

yep...was surprised to see no subtitle at bottom of guide screens and info popups..
was a real annoyance with old ver. and was hoping they'd be more global this time around..

We dont have them in our EPGs here, so I dont think about them too much.

I've added them in a few spots for the next build. (tv guide, show details popup, osd, etc)
