New External App: Netflix Viewer

Hi

I've been using the netflix viewer for 2 weeks and it has been awesome! Thanks a lot for such a useful and lightweight app. Recently when I said okay to upgrade the database, the application hangs. I upgraded to 2.3.0.1 release and even with that the database piece just hangs. Please let me know what you would need. I ran the database update separately as well, but still no help. Everytime I had to kill the app from task manager. I suspect you need these log files and so I am uploading this.

Thanks! glad you enjoy the program.

Based on the logs, it looks like your cookie in IE got deleted. This happens to me occasionally and I have to relogin to the netflix website. A recent IE update reset my cookie handling as well, which caused a problem. I had to go into internet explorer settings --> Privacy --> Advanced Button --> Override automatic cookie handling --> Accept 1st party cookies.

Try going to http://www.netflix.com and see if you are logged in, you might have the same problem.

I will add this to the To Do List, I need to notify the user when their cookie gets deleted and prompt them to log back in.

Hey Snooze,

I found a couple of timers assocuiated with the CSM (text messaging) text input that weren't closing properly and a few other annoyances that I have fixed. I'll have a new version out soon and hopefully the timers were the culprits on the dirty closing. Just out of curiosity if you use the CSM feature to enter text, does that possibly cause the bad close? If so, i think i found the problem, if not I'll keep looking.

Just realized that searching by actor that the sms text entry is broken. it jumps past the refine search and goes straight to actors. Should be tabing through it.

Hey Snooze,

Mine is working fine. Can you tell me exactly what is happening on your end?

Here is what is happening on mine:
When you press enter on actor it moves you to the refine search box, if you press enter on this box it moves you down a level to the actors list.

If you type using sms in the refine box (e.g. Brian) then pressing enter it refines the list (i.e. it lists all Brians).
