How can I disable subfolders in the recording directory?

Let's say I set my recording directory to:

D:\npvr\

If I record "Survivor" it creates the file in a subfolder:

D:\npvr\survivor\survivorxxx.ts

I want it to save all shows in the root of that folder:

D:\npvr\survivorxxx.ts

How do I get NPVR to save all recordings to the root of my defined folder? The current subfolder approach won't work well with my batch processing.

You can disable the creation of these directories by setting <AutoCreateFolders>true</AutoCreateFolders> in the <Recordings> section of the config.xml file.

Ah, yep - I should have said 'false'

I had to add the <AutoCreateFolders> line as it didn't exist in my config.xml.

As mentioned, I had to set it to "false" to accomplish what I wanted.

I also discovered you have to exit NPVR and restart it for this to take effect.
