SRT files with NMT?

NPVR does not support SRT files. Is there any way to get MVPMCX2 to display them?

It depends. Native support in mpeg files depends on NPVR. Other video formats will use the NMT player and they should support srt. You can also send mpeg files to the native player with USB Eject+Ok

Every time I play the movie with the NMT, the srt file gets deleted! the odd thing is that I removed all delete permissions from the file and it still gets deleted. Has anyone else tested srt files with NPVR and NMT?

I did a quick test and it does look like NPVR is deleting the SRT file. After watching what is going on I also know that because of a change sub made in NPVR to use shortnames, (that I had hoped he wouldn't), playback of SRT files may not be reliable using NPVR from the native player.

I have down some further testing and not only might it delete srt files, it could delete the source video file. Hopefully sub will respond soon.

As a workaround you could set the srt file to read only.

I have fixed this issue with it deleting files. It related to some logic that handles rolling live buffer files, and it was accidentally treating these other files the same way.
