If hosting a new wiki site is needed, I can take care without breaking a sweat. Writing instructions wears me out however and they end up being overly technical.

So how does this "thing" get started then? That seems to be the biggest hangup.

Ha just spent 10 minutes replying to this to find my browser hang!
Really can't tap all that out again! If I can still be involved/be of help, great, I would definitely take up Whurlston's offer of temp host as I have a feeling his Web server is way more robust than mine. I would personally be very wary of creating 'too much' of a snowball effect, in my limited experience this will end up in Andy McNab's words as a potential 'gangf*ck' A posse was indeed what I was looking for, that's just my way of working, doesn't suit everyone and I understand that. As before I would go for latest pmwiki with any recipes that may help the experience, as before from other threads I would do totally new wiki and not mess with the old one. Cheers Steeb [Edit] and for some reason everytime I re-read this it just makes me laugh, so I had to comment! @Fatman-do Quote:I am up for anything. Should you be telling all of us this What would Mrs Fatman-do say  LOL You are Fab [End Edit]

I would highly appreciate if a volunteer would start on the existing WIKI with a side by side table comparing the key features of NPVR versus PVRX2. That would be very helpful for people like me, but also for those new to GBPVR, to understand the consequences of choosing between one product or the other.

Hi Pieter,
Quote:I would highly appreciate if a volunteer would start on the existing WIKI with a side by side table comparing the key features of NPVR versus PVRX2. That would be very helpful for people like me, but also for those new to GBPVR, to understand the consequences of choosing between one product or the other. I think this is a really great idea, I would re-post to an 'old' or create a 'new' thread in documentation to this effect just to let this thread about a 'New Wiki' play out and see what it brings... I would be up for creating a page and layout for your suggestion but I'm still using GB-PVR as (PVRX2) not N-PVR so have relatively little idea as to the differences so couldn't really suggest fields or how to populate them. I'm also not sure how much could be said about the differences as N-PVR is just a core at the moment (with future built in) PVRX2 a 'full' apple..... Cheers Steeb

The major difference is the Analog recording requirements and format. Other than that, any other differences may be changing on a weekly basis.

Sort of what I was trying to say (but so much better placed by Fatman_do) So 'new wiki', where we at now? hairy blasted in and gave me 2 days, back at you hairy :p I'll give you as long as you like, because you're a genius, I just create plans!
