Guide for Guide2j

I consider myself fairly technically savvy. I even have a few pieces of paper that supposedly prove it...however...
I need a step by step guide for dummies to get Guide2j installed.
I have copied .dll's to multiple folders, reinstalled CDKScheduler, FindFast, Guide2j, etc., and it still doesn't show up in config anywhere.
What am I missing? Probably something stupid and trivial...this is a prime example of where an installer would be ideal!

Nevermind. I finally installed XRecord and it all works.
Now if someone had actually mentioned that I NEEDED xrecord for it to work... :mad:
Some clearer documentation would be nice.

I feel your pain - I had EXACTLY the same issue installing Guide2J last night; I finally figured out through trial and error, searching the forum, etc., that it needs the most recent releases of recordingutils.dll and findfast.dll before it shows up in the config.

I do have a question though - what button do I press on the 45button remote to get it to display the 'vertical' guides?
