on the fullscreen issue, you can set a timer that checks the active window every second and if it's not "npctrl.dll" (or "Microsoft Silverlight") then send the command to go to fullscreen. Once it works, you can shut off the timer.

I can't remember the exact path to npctrl.dll but you can do EndsWith(). Let me know if you need the code to do it and I can send it to you.

now Bill, I'm sure you'll want to release a new beta of streamit so we can test your fullscreen timer code (and other goodies!)... you don't want to be sending dhgb256 any untested code now do you? Big Grin

My timer code works. It's all the other features you guys requested that are holding it up. Wink But that's a discussion for another thread.

My next build will also include the ability to launch dhgb256's external app. I don't plan on implementing any queue management into the plugin and his works very well.

Thanks for the suggestion. I wish I knew how to send commands to silverlight, but I don't. My fullscreen feature is a bit ghetto, so in true ghetto fashion, I screen capture a pixel and once it no longer reads red I send the fullscreen command. It seems to work great, but I realize it isn't the best code. The latest version has the fullscreen fix in it (just posted).

Whurlston, if you have a way to communicate directly with the silverlight window I would love the code. Please teach me, this ghetto code works but it bugs me.

Thanks! Big Grin

Sure. It's basically a hook to user32.dll and uses GetForeGroundWindow() and GetWindowThreadProcessId() to check the active window, and SendKeys() to send commands to the active window. I'll send you a code sample later tonight (movie night with the wife so it will be late).

Unfortunately when I call to get the foreground window it just finds my program, which doesn't handle the keys, the IE window does. I would need to figure out how to talk to silverlight directly.

i would like this too, then I can clean up the hauppauge remote! I really dont like as I have it right now, and I like the way stream-it has its own window controls. I am breathing heavy now! lol

If the GUI looked a little more GBPVR based it would be nice... more streamlined, even though its an external app, it wouldn't look like it was mashed into it. No offense.

Thanks for the mashed comment, you didn't hurt my feelings, I swear Smile

Yeah my GUI is something I've wanted to update as part of the 3.0 release. Now that I have most of the issues ironed out, I can work on making it prettier. I was thinking of having a scrolling listbox of the thumbnails. I'll have to work something up and put it out for Beta. That will be a while though.
