Likewise - I have been getting empty files for the last few days. I think I got one good download last week. I've stopped xmltvgui from running so I still have my last weeks xml file. This is the mailing list I've been watching for news. At least one guy seems to have an in with RT so there it is more than guessing (I hope).
I haven't seen much moaning an groaning anywhere else though!

Thanks for that ... I also managed to get one grab since RT updated their stuff ... and the bad news is ...

Many programmes now have two <subtitle> entries ... the first contains series number and episode number info ... the second contains the subtitle title. Curiously, Zehd's Enhancer seems to rely on the first <subtitle> so it doesn't enhance the subtitles but GBPVR seems to load the second <subtitle> field so my Guide had correct subtitles but without the series and episod data that Zehd good stuff used to add.

I'm waiting to see how it all turns out ... as long as it's fixed before my listing run out in about two weeks.

This quoted on the list I mentioned;

Quote:"We are experiencing technical issues with this service and I am
afraid it may be down for a few days whilst we try to rectify. Our
apologies for any inconvenience."

with any luck the lists will return simultaneously with subs next beta release so I can make progress
running npvr on the main machine as the live system.

BigMoose Wrote:How are you all finding the updates over the last few days? I seem to be getting some channels but many of them are returning 0 size listings (BBC HD, ITV3 etc). I'm using XMLTVGUI, does that make a difference? It has picked up extra channels but most seem to pull back empty listings.

Monday was OK, tuesday no data, and today no data. Lucky I changed my update.bat file as per Jaggy so did not loose my EPG. I wish they would sort it out, I still don't understand why the 'new' channels appear to be a step backward, i.e. The Horror channel now has no programs listed, instead the listings all show up under it's old name 'Zone Horror'. True Entertainment still listed but without program details, but new channel 'TrueEnt' has them all. Channel 4+1 no listings, but new listing Channel 4 +1 (with a space) does. It must be mistake - why list channels that have no data at the same time as listing 'new' channels that do have data? It's taken ages to get my guide back in good order, removing channels with no listings, adding the 'new' channels, renaming channel logos etc.

I was away over the weekend and it was a bank holiday in Ireland on monday so wasn't back until Monday night and by tuesday when I looked at it I had a completely stuffed up guide. No point in stopping XMLTVGUI as next run cant be much worse than the current one! Not looking forward to explaining to the wife why nothing has recorded... although at least this time it's not my fault! Big Grin

Assume that includes BBC HD? After writing my previous post I noticed that some channels always got listings (BBC 1 South for one). Here's hoping it's sorted!

What is going wrong - I've just done another grab and it got all channels in the list. Is it just a few channels missing or nothing at all? (to play safe, delete the dat files in the cache directory.

I'm also grabbing nothing, will try again in the morning, when the fuddled brain is clearer.
