Hello

When I try to launch live TV in npvr I see error "Cannot connect to the recording service". The device status icon in the right corner is black (Should it be green as in gbprv?) and I cannot see anything in the status window. Npvr recognises my dvb-c card Terratec Cinergy C and I find all the channels just fine.

The error in the log files when I try to launch live TV is "connection cannot be established because target machine does not allow it ::1:8968". Is this a tcp port since I have opened it in windows firewall but it won't help.

I am running Windows Vista and NPVR 1.5.24
Log file attached, the error there is in finnish...

Thanks

As a first step, I'd try uninstalling, deleting the config.xml file, then reinstalling the new 1.5.28 release.

Same issue and similar log. Tried uninstalling, deleting the config.xml file, then reinstalling the new 1.5.28 release but no joy.

Konkka you log looks like the conenction is on an IPv6 adaptor ::1:8968 If you don't need IPv6 maybe disable it and see if IPv4 works.

I reinstalled the 1.5.28 but I am still seeing the same issue.

I checked the network adapter configs and the IPv6 was not enabled. I tried also to enable it to see if it would make any difference but still same issue no matter if IPv6 is enabled or disabled.

Could you check the hosts file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts I remember that it causes a problem if localhost is set to ::1 http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...post343812

Yippee

There's always somebody who knows the answer. Its just a case of patience until they read your thread (or another similar). I've been keeping my eye on this thread and "mvallevand" came up with the answer to my thread 'is NPVR for me?'. Changed host to 127.0.0.1, rebooted and can now watch LiveTV. So pleased I'm posting this having only achieved it a couple of times but things are looking promising.

Will now try the next step of getting USBUIRT to change channels on the set top box.

Many thanks

Thanks

Changing the localhost to 127.0.0.1 helped here also. Now the Live TV works. Well now I face another problem but I'll get back to you later...
