I have the 150MCE working for 2 weeks now, on a win2K machine. Today I have no audio on cable channel 6 (Rogers, Ottawa). All other channels have audio fine, and cable 6 sounds fine on my TV.

This is a little bizarre, it's a single channel (but a popular one)... Can anyone give me any pointers on how to fix this?

Through my searches, I found others with sound problems, a few mentions of frequency tuning, edit registry, etc. I do not have WinTV installed, couldn't find the registry settings for the frequencies.

Thx.

Just confirming, I have shut down, then restarted. I went through every single of the 75 channels. All have sound, except... channel 6. (and channel 6 is just fine when viewed on my TV directly through the cable).

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

You can try to use the tuninassistant
http://www.bladerhq.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...gAssistant
Run it, take a note of the frequency that you find your channel 6 on, and try to enter that in the config app instead of 6. GBPVR will then use the frequency instead of the channel. If that doesn't do it for you, I guess you can try to manually fine tune the channel by going up or down in frequency. I think that appropriate steps are by 250 (but I'm not sure)

Thanks. It worked! For a single channel, go figure!

Now, I had also asked Hauppage, check their response by email (!):

>>>

Hello, Try doing this take a pair of headphones and plug it directly into
the card. See if you get audio from channel 6. If you do not which indicates
probably the card is defective. You would then be able to replace it with us
or take it back to the store for another one.
