I have a new version ready on wiki.
It now will let you add MAC address up to a total of 4.
It will now display the MAC address of your MVP on you TV. This was only tested with 1 MVP because I only have 1 MVP.

Please let me know of any issues

You know what would be cool, though I don't know if it's doable, sub probably does.

It would be nice to be able to make these changes from the MVP itself. Use the remote to position and size the display, then save the changes.

It wouldn't be hard to do, assuming there's a way to convince gbpvr to resize/position the display each render cycle. Maybe it already does.

Or have a preset grid that is displayed in changing color bands, say 16 pixels wide. Use colors like white, red, blue, yellow...
Then just look at the top and left and see how much is getting cut off. Say the left edge is middle of the red, and top is middle of the blue, add 24 to the left, and 32 to the top. Then restart GBPVR, and check the right and bottom.

I've been thinking of making a JPG just for that, and setting it as the background, and putzing with the centering.

Or instead of bands of color, a stairstepped line with steps every so many pixels.

I agree doing it right on the MVP would be great. This is something I have been thinking of since the first release. I just do not know what the best way to do it is.

The problem I see with the idea of putting bars or lines on the screen is it assumes the display is larger than you screen. What if it is not touching the left top corner of you screen. Not saying it could not be done first set the display big and offset it to 0 for X and Y.

I am open to any and all ideas.

That is exactly was I was thinking. I'm kinda busy these last couple days/week, but I'm putzing with it now. I'll send some screen shots, if I can soon.

Could you please program the ability to not show this plugin on the MVP menu? I don't have a need for it and it is just another menu item to scrol through. Thanks for the great work!

Thanks! I guess I should have tried that but I figured it would disable the plugin? I will give it a try. Thanks again!

Here is two pics. One is of the replacement background.jpg, and the other is a photo of my tv.

I recolored the background.jpg with 3 bands of 16 pixels each. I then set the mvp to
<MVPWidth>600</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>400</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>0</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>0</MVPOffsetY>

That is what generated the mvppos.jpg on the tv. As you can see in the picture, the left is cut off 2 bars (x=32) and the top is 1½ bars (x=24), I then played with the width and height and this is what ended up good, on mine.
<MVPWidth>624</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>448</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>32</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>16</MVPOffsetY>

It is not an exact science, but the bands around the end make it MUCH eaiser to see how much is being cut off.
I wish I understood more how everything scales to fit, but It looks good now. Once I got is sized decent, I copied the original background.jpg back into the skin folder.

I made the changes Pioneer4x4 sugested with a few improvements(?).
I have not posted on wiki yet so download here.
Ver .5
The color bands are 8 pixels wide. I hard coded the background it into the plugin. I did not want people to have to make a skins directory just for the background file.

I currently am working on moving the screen with the remote. I beilve you will first have to set the X,Y offset to 0 and the change the Width,Height to a large size.
Like I said I just starting working on it. So it could take a little time.
