That's definitely a factor in why its taking NPVR so long to do its normal operations on this database.

What is the size of the GBPVR.db3 file? It should be similar in size to the NPVR.db3 file.

GBPVR.db3 is 94mb, NPVR.db3 is 52mb. What do you consider about average for an xmltv.xml file?

With about 70 channels, my 7-days xmltv file is about 14 gig.

I have just cut the size of my epg xml file to 61mb by including an mc2xml.chl file. I am currently reloading my npvr database. It is still running after 35 minutes. My gbpvr database has an index on oid and start time. Does the npvr.exe delete use both these columns when deciding what to delete?

The only criteria supplied when deleting the listings is the channel_oid, so that would be the only column I'd expect you'd need an index.

My XML files are about 45MB and I have about 130 channels. I was thinking about another thing. Make sure no channels are mapped to a DVB guide otherwise NPVR tries to fine the epg in the stream, for a long long time.
