UncleJohnsBand Wrote:If you have the drives mapped such as D:\Media\Videos\Filme\FSK12\whatahotmovie.iso) in the NPVR config then you should be able to get by with the NPVR service running as local system account with the interact with desktop checked. If you are already doing that and you are not seeing the info in NEWA then you can try changing the account that the NPVR service runs under to be a named user account on the server.

As you can see yourself, this is NOT working (nPVR Service as local Acc, local folders etc.):

It is NOT possible, on ANY machine (6 for testing ready) with ANY running webserver to access to one of the librarys via NEWA (Video, Picture, Music). And there is another bug within NEWA / nPVR: It is not possible to disable the NEWA Webserver. I can reach NEWA every time, even if i disable NEWA WebServer and restart the recording service. No, Internet Cache will be cleared on every iexplore.exe shutdown.

Is the error in the image what you have been referencing in regards to not being able to access the libraries? If so, it has nothing to do with not being able to get to the drives for the data .....the error in the screen-shot is in relation to something about what the value for the picture slider percent is set to......which is probably also related to the VLC issue you reported but then were able to fix by setting the sizing factor to 1.

What nationality is your system set to? I think the error may be how numbers are interpreted by your nationality setting.

This would be an issue for sub.....if you have unchecked the Enable Web Server check box in the NPVR settings, clicked ok and then restarted the service and you are still able to access NEWA after the service is restarted then there is something in NPVR that is correct.

Edit: Try the attached patch and see if that corrects the issue.

Hi UJB! These settings are all Deutschland (deutsch) <germany (german)> set to.

UncleJohnsBand Wrote:Edit: Try the attached patch and see if that corrects the issue.
Yes, this patch did the trick! Now i can access the libraries. Thank you for this one!

Last but not least, one problem is back again... streaming started by NEWA will not work (this problem came back already before your patch). It worked only one time (i think, because i had vlc manual opened for streaming something else). I am not sure, what this could be. Streaming, initiated by me and manual with vlc is absolutely no problem. If NEWA starts vlc, then vlc will startup, but it stands and do noting (cpu usage 0 percent). Only the memoryusage is raising a bit.

Let me see what I can do....I am sure it is related to the same issue in how numbers are being interpreted.

Hello UncleJohnsBand!

Just applied the patch. Ok, something changed. Instead "01.00" i now have to enter "01,00". For the german region this were correct. But... vlc player don't want to stream, if it's called by newa. This problem has not gone away (i tried with different settings for streaming; result is everytime the same: vlc.exe starts up and then stops without streaming anything).

What a big scale... ^^; (in the menu is 01,00 entered).

And here is a sout command, which i use direct with vlc (manual) which is working. I tried a lot of different combinations with vlc started by me; alle were working:

Code:
:sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=64,scale=0.5,acodec=mp3,ab=16,channels=1,samplerate=48000}:http{mux=ts,dst=:7648/} :no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :sout-all :sout-keep

Ah, and another thing: Now, after the patch is applied, NEWA is a little bit... curious: If i enter at scale "0,5" and press "update", then it makes just "5,0". If i enter "0.5" and press update, then NEWA will display "0,5". But as before: VLC started by NEWA don't want to work: It just stays at 0 percent cpu usage.

For the command lines that work....does using the native , as the decimal work or do you need to use the english . for the decimal for the command line to work?

See if the attached patch lets you enter "0,5" and end up with 0.5.

If i use VLC the manual way, then i have to enter the scale in the english format "0.5" and it works good, even on a german system.
Code:
:sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=64,scale=0.5,acodec=mp3,ab=16,channels=1,samplerate=48000}:http{mux=ts,dst=:7648/} :no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :sout-all :sout-keep

Month ago this worked with EWA good too. I think the regionspecific problem were only related to the libraries.
VideoLAN Player and NEWA seems to have another problem, i think. What do you think, what kind of software/services/settings could be responsible for not streaming via VLC if started by NEWA?

If i am at home again, i will try something else. I wondered how i could stream the last day. Only thing was, that VLC was already opened to stream something else. After this, i could stream via NEWA (for one session). Perhaps i can reproduce this behaviour. Undecided
