I've got two problems with the movie list plugin and the dvdlist program:

When you copy the imdb link http://us.imdb.com/title/ into the proper field in the GUI the GUI cuts off HTTP:// and saves us.imdb.com in mydvd.xml, so later the plugin finds no "www" or "http" and says that there's no link.
To prevent this you need to replace "us" in the link with "www" manually and then it works. But I think it's a bug.

2. I don't understand how to edit and to put up a friends list. I don't understand the instructions. I tried to edit it but that doesn't seem to work.
But maybe someone did set this up and can help me out here.

BTW, Sub, don't look into this one, I get it that you need your time desperately, and I'm sure somebody else can help me out (it's not that pressing)

Oh, and the export facility in the GUI doesn't work either

I have put some initial work into a new program for grabbing IMDB data... It's not complete, but it's usable for me. It won't integrate with the movie list plugin though... My file format is different. I just need to get or write an HTML parser to make things a little tidier...

Anyone have a decent C# HTML parser laying about that I could use?

I get the listings in fine but the list of theaters text is not showing. I can click on the spot where it is and get a listing but the text is invisible. Listings show fine.

arttech,

You are correct the plugin does remove the http://. That is done because the : is an illegal xml character and I did not want to have to deal with converting it.

I had originally tried to use us but I could not pull the page and parse it that way, which is why I switched it to www. I could put some logic into the program to convert the us in the link to www if it not there. That should fix that bug.

As for the friends lists let me explain the instructions.

edit friendslist.js
an entry would like
Dad=>file:///C:/dvdlist/dad/index.html

This requires a directory called dad underneath the dvdlist directory. In there you need the following files.

index.html, movie.xsl and mydvd.xml

let me know if that is not working for you.
What happens for you when you click export from the GUI?

With export all: a page opens (res://C:\dvdlist\HTMLGui.exe/ExportAll.html) which is completely empty
with export titles ditto (res://C:\dvdlist\HTMLGui.exe/ExportTitles.html)
