Device failed to start

I have noticed that I have a reoccurring recording fail with "device failed to start". It occurs on one of the analog tuners in my 2250. This error only seems to occur if I have show scheduled to record on one of the QAM tuners just prior to it starting.

For example, I have the scheduled recording of "The Daily Show" at 11 PM every week night. This recordings appears to work most nights, but it always fails on Thursdays when I have the "The Mentalist" scheduled to record at 10-11 PM on a QAM channel.

I wonder NPVR is correctly handling the dual tuners of the 2250. It shows up as 4 devices, but only 2 tuners can be in use at any single point in time. It seems like is may chose the wrong tuner device for the second show not realizing is was already busy with a QAM recording.

Reproduce the problem and post the logs and I'll take a look.

OK. I was hoping my logs still covered last Thursday, but they have rolled over past then already. I will try to zip them up the next time it occurs, which will probably be next Thursday or before then if I get a chance to force the failure.

Ignore the logs attached to the previous post. They do not have contain the failure. I thought I have removed them before I sent the post.

I'm seeing a similar issue with my 2250. One QAM tuner is watching live. When I try to record an analog channel it fails with "device failed to start". Logs attached.

Now this is causing NRecord.exe and NextPVR.exe to crash, I think when trying to record with the 2250 analog tuner while the QAM tuner is already recording. This crashes nPVR until I remove the schedule records from npvr.db3. Should be in the logs attached.

No, It didn't.

After more investigating, it seems that only the 2250 tuners are working. As soon as any of the other analog tuners are called to record, nPVR crashes.

Attached are more logs, including filtercheck, and a pic of my devices. I have a 2250, 150, 500 and a 1600 (with a bad digital tuner).

Please help.

I replaced unmanaged.dll with an old version (dated 10/12/2010) and all tuners work. Logs attached.

Sounds like ElihuRozen's problem http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...1.5.33-can. He also uses TV Listings.
