Hi,

I've noticed in the past week or so that recordings are failing when I try to record 2 different progs at the same time.
Running XP SP3, all updates, all required add-ons as listed in the installation sticky. I have tested this in the past few days and if I schedule 2 recordings at least one, sometimes both fail. Recording a single program is fine.
I have 2 x Hauppage PCI 9000 cards.

Running v1.5.36 of NPVR

Logs directory attached.

Thanks

Robin

I noticed this in NRECORD.Log.1
Code:

Are you able to watch one show while recording another?

No.
What does all that in NRecord.Log.1 mean?

I'm not sure, just noticed that there is an error message. What happends if you start a recording and then try to watch live-tv?

I'm recording one show now. Choosing to watch Live TV fails and the program hangs. Has to be forcibly closed.

This sounds like the problem I had with two identical Cinergy C PCI capturecards, it turned out that the driver was not written to handle more than one card at a time. Are you sure it is supposed to work with two cards at the same time in one computer?

Not quite sure what you are referring to when you mention "the driver" and "it". Is that the NPVR software or the cards' own drivers? I've run 2 cards under GBPVR without problems and thought it was alright with NPVR unti recently.

Well there is no driver in nprv, so yes, I'm refering to the cards own driver. But if you are positive that you have used both cards simultanously (and I mean recording/watching at the same time, not just having them installed) under gbpvr then it should not be the driver causing problems. What windows are you running, and is it the same as you used gbpvr under?

Exact same problem being discussed in this thread. Any way we can merge the two discussions?

I dont think it is the same problem. There is a different (long standing) problem that only effects HDHomeRun devices, which I'm pretty sure is the problem in the other thread.
