Thanks again. The seriesOnly lookups using SeriesTitle.EpisodeTitle now seem to be working perfectly; what a difference this will make to my system!

I have noticed, however, that movie lookups (e.g. "A Beautiful Mind") seem to be producing no result; no error, just no result (and yes, this is true even when I leave off the seriesOnly parameter). I mention this in case it is a side-effect of the seriesOnly mods in 1.47.

Have you given any thought to using the current time for a time-stamp instead of always 1:00-2:00AM? Even if the start and end times are exactly the same, at least that would reflect the actual moment the file was imported.

Your right, IMDB changed the values it returns, fixed with 1.48 - can you tell I haven't used it in a while. Surprised no one else noticed though. This new version returns the longer "Storyline" if that exists as well.

I'm thinking that maybe you forgot to upload this to the WIKI. The version there identifies itself as 1.47, and seems to have the same behaviour as before.

Hmm, thats odd - I remember doing it and I even changed the wiki version to match, at any rate I uploaded 1.48 again so it should be there

All now works perfectly; movies, series and episodes. (Ironically, my movie downloader broke an hour later, but that is unrelated). Thanks so much; you should know that all of the "special" things I do with my system depends on GraphRecorder and VidImport. It's a bit distressing to see GBPVR going out of date, but I will stick with it as long as I can in order to use your plugins.

Glad to hear things are working, vidImport does work with NPVR but a graphRecorder for it would be starting from scratch... although it may be doable.

I think I found a bug. VidImport seems to be importing any GBPVR-syntax files as though they were recorded in the morning. You can see that the attached filename is set to 22462251 (a.k.a. 10:46 - 10:51 PM). However, the file imports as 10:00 AM - 10:51 PM. This is happening quite consistently: always a morning start time (which is 12 hours earlier in the case of an afternoon/evening recording) but always the correct end time.

If you can read the metadata on the file, you will undoubtedly notice that the times within it are different: 22:00-23:00. In the past, though, VidImport has always ignored this and replaced it with the times from the filename syntax. This seems to have changed in the case of the start time, probably as a side-effect of some of the great work you have done on the program recently.

I have also been wishing that, with s06e07-syntax filenames, VidImport would use the current time rather than 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM. I may have mentioned this before, though, and I don't mean to nag as it is no big deal. I'm really happy with the program as it is. I hope you will have time to look into the bug, though, Carpe.

New version that fixes your issues is on the wiki - also for files without a time I use the files creation time as the start and 1 hour after as the end

Thanks, as always, for looking at this. I've only had time to test one of the fixes, but so far haven't had any luck getting a "PM" time imported, or a start time that matches the filename syntax (as opposed to the metadata).

I've attached an example including the executable I used, an XML from the metadata (the file was too big) and a screenshot of the recordings with the relevant entry at the bottom. From the metadata, you can see that the source time is 5:30-6:00 PM; however, the file syntax was "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody_20101229_17461750.mpg". In the recordings screen, you will see that the time imported as 5:30 AM to 6:50 PM.

I'm hoping this is a simple matter (like the wrong executable). The one I use reports as 1.49, though.

I am confused - your recordings screen says 5:30PM - 5:52 PM, not 5:30 AM to 6:50 PM as you say above, (oh actually there are two entries for the same file), perhaps these entries are older entries since the filename you refer to "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody_20101229_17461750.mpg" indicates a start time of 5:46 PM and end time of 5:50 PM (not 5:30-6:50) - I created a file with the same name and vidImport generates the XML. So if the issue is still occurring it is with gbpvr or npvr

The xml vid import generates is:
Code:
- <recording>
  <filename>D:\viTest\The Suite Life of Zack & Cody_20101229_17461750.mpg</filename>
  <channel>IMPORT</channel>
  <status>READY</status>

  <endTime>2010-12-29 17:50:00</endTime>
  <name>viTest</name>
- <Event>
  <Title>viTest</Title>
  <SubTitle>The Suite Life of Zack & Cody</SubTitle>
<Description>The Rock as a bounty hunter who attempts to square a debt by heading to the Amazon jungle to capture someone. The bounty hunter discovers that his quarry isn&#x27;t the bad guy he&#x27;d been warned about, and the two team up in pursuit of riches stored in a mine in the Amazon.</Description>
  <StartTime>2010-12-29 17:46:00</StartTime>
  <EndTime>2010-12-29 17:50:00</EndTime>
  <OID>0</OID>
  </Event>
  </recording>

or for gbpvr mode
Code:
- <recording>
  <filename>D:\viTest\The Suite Life of Zack & Cody_20101229_17461750.mpg</filename>
  <channel>IMPORT</channel>
  <status>READY</status>
  <startTime>2010-12-29 17:46:00</startTime>
  <endTime>2010-12-29 17:50:00</endTime>
