what is timing.info?

Can someone explain or point me to a thread that explains timing.info?

I keep seeing it referenced in different threads, but I can't seem to find any explanation of what it is or where it is or how do I know if I have one.

It is some extra lookup information stored in an Alternate Data Stream of .ts recordings on NTFS drives, which make skipping more accurate.

Sub beat me to it, but I'm still posting because of all my hard work typing . : it's extra fileinfo attached to the recording, but only on ntfs filesystems. You can extract the data to file using this command (thanks, Martin):

With this extra info npvr can search for acurate skipping. A file can look like this:
