How do I select AC3 as the default track for TV3?

Just ran through about 5 recordings, which all work fine in PVRX2, but in NPVR the AC3 (TV3) are all out of sound sync, while the HE-AAC (TV1 and TV2) all play fine.. I haven't been able to graphedit anything as yuet.

This is excellent news, and it was on my wishlist for NPVR a few releases ago but never got any feedback on it then. Actually I would like this option to appear on the settings screen. I am sure a lot of users would appreciate it.

Are you using the Defaule Audio Renderer? If not, you may very well get sync problems.

OK... I went back to PVRX2 for a while. Now I've rebuilt a new PC and I'm giving NPVR a try on Windows 7. In NZ we have TV3 for which I prefer to use the AC3 audio. My symptoms are as follows, having set PreferAC3 registry setting to 1.

When watching live tv on this channel, AC3 is used. When I hit pause on live TV and then play, I get AC3. When I record and playback the recording, it gives me what I assume to be HE-AAC, but definitely no AC3. If I right click and choose AC3 while playing back the recording, the picture freezes and NPVR stops responding.

I'm using the decoders as per attached jpg.

Try downloading the LAV-Filters, I'v found that to be a good replacement for AC3-Filter and haven't had any sync problems since.

With the new installation, the problem is not so much the sync issue, but that the playback of recordings does not permit me to use AC3 for those channels which have it. Live TV does work with AC3, recordings do not.

I remember also having "hang" issues if changing audiotrack during playback when I used AC3 filter, not any more.

Tried the LAV Filters. Still same issue. Live TV and resuming from pause in LIve TV gives me AC3. Playback of recodings gives me HE-AAC. I always want AC3.
