ticker tape no longer smooth

I have compared the same file
recorded on nextpvr

playback in pvrx2 smooth

playback in nextpvr jumpy (blur like frames are out of sequence)

same decoders same settings on both

file is nz dvb-s .ts

Long time since i had this old issue
where do i look for whats different?

It can only come down to the decoders or video renderer you're using, so experiment with these. NPVR itself doesnt take any part in decoding or displaying the video frames.

ok one more question and ill post logs soon
when i first play a file in npvr the screen goes blank and never plays
but if i exit back out
then play again its fine on all files untill I exit npvr and reopen

I'm not sure what would cause that. If you can post the logs though, I'll take a look.

played breakfast at 11:25am blank then played again fine straight after

I cant see any obvious cause, but I'd start by testing if other decoders or renderers make a difference. At the end of the day, these are the cause of most playback issues, since they do the bulk of the job.

im guessing for some reason nextpvr is not selecting the decoder i want it to
or something isnt working in windows more to the point

gragh studio seems to be fine also

i will keep wrecking things till i figure it out

wonder if one of the patches is bad (patch pack#4) is all i had added

The NPVR installer won't over write newer files, so I can't imagine this doing anything.
