THAT should be more that sufficient, I'v successfully run npvr on an Intel dualcore 1.7GHz + 4Gig ram.

Can you reproduce the problem with the attached patch, then post the npvr.log? It adds some more logging in the area your log stopped.

I loaded your patch Sub. Here are the results:

This time after freezing for about 45 seconds it went back to the main menu and popped up a warning saying "The tuner you were using for live tv is no longer available".

Log attached.

I did a bunch of test recordings in the last few hours and it appears that my recordings problems are gone. No skips or pixelation.

Still just a persistent problem with changing channels. Hopefully you guys find something in the logs. Thanks again.

Can you create a c:\temp directory, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogSlipFile=1 (DWORD) in the registry, then reproduce the channel change problem, and post the npvr.log, nrecord.log and c:\temp\reader.log files.

Once I set up the reg key, the program made one successful channel change and then on the second one it froze. Requested items attached.

Thank you Sub.

Hmmm. Can you apply this patch, and capture those same logs? More logging added.

I cant see the exact cause (not happening in the NPVR code), but something is causing directshow to take a very long time to pause on your machine. I'm wondering if you have a flaky version of the Microsoft 'MPEG-2 Demultiplexer' on your machine. Hard to know for sure though.

What's weird is this is a clean install of win7. Any idea what I could install to get a better version of the software you reference? Thanks for all your work Sub.
