Divx aac decoder is the only one that works at all with the newest version of npvr, but it can't handle changes to the audio that sometimes happen in uk freeview HD ie 5.1 to 2.0 and playback speeds up.

I haven't found any version of arcsoft decoders that work with any version of npvr.

libfaad2wrapper works with the npvr 1.5.33 but has problems with 5.1 audio-fluctuating volume and doesn't work with the latest version.

Mainconcept aac decoder works fine with npvr 1.5.33 but not with the latest version. It's part of MainConcept Reference 2.1 a demo version available here http://www.mainconcept.com/products/apps...rence.html

Have you tried Monogram Decoder? I use it for HE-AAC in npvr.

Thanks for the valuable feedback - I will have a play this evening. Does Sub know about this problem with the Mainconcept decoder?

The main audio is coded as AAC-LC and only the audio description is encoded as HE-AAC.

I think it is flagged as HE-AAC but coded as LC - monogram and FFDshow don't work.

I have got Arcsoft TMT3 HD Audio codec to work with realtek audio chip transcoding to DTS over SPDIF but at present don't have a good enough aerial feed for Video for the PCITV nano stick.
(I was also getting audio stutter on SD with two codecs enabled)

My other requirement is that I need to pump audio out over HDMI to the TV if at all possible. worst case scenerio is that it will have to go out via the m-audio sound card to the amp

A previously posted DVB-T2 clip play edwith audio for me using the Arcosft decoder. 'Arcsoft Audio Decoder HD' from the WinTV7 software. The Monogram decoder didnt like it for some reason though.
