Npvr + avc-3610

It is definitely a hardware encoder so I'll try with that filtercheck and post it here as soon as i can.

He may have updated it. I think I used a version I found in my GBPVR folder. Didn't even look in nPVR folder. lol

Anyway I can disable my Hauppauge without actually deleting it so I can test this? Sorry, haven't used nPVR much at all yet. Still using GBPVR

Yes, I think you can actually disable analog capture devices now. it used to be you could uncheck the "enabled" box, but it wouldn't do anything; now I think it actually does.

The device entry you posted isn't right though - the Encoder is "Adaptec USB Encoder", not "Adaptec USB TvTuner"

Yeah, I wrote it down wrong, fixed it two seconds later you're too damn quick!

Just got home to try the recordings and it works like a charm. Tried recording 2 shows and watching live tv at the same time and it worked. The light on the front of the AVC was blinking away which indicates it is in use.

cool, hopefully that version filtercheck will be included in main app from now on...
i notice it's not in npvr dir for me..guess it's not included anymore with main program..

no, it isn't included with NPVR. perhaps it should be. Theoretically it's less necessary now than it was with GB-PVR, since NPVR can auto-detect digital devices, so it was deemed sufficient to have it available for download for those who need it.
