Sort of a support Q....My daughter is 19 months old and today she was sick so I had to stay home, whilst trying to get some work done I sat her in front of the TV while I was in the kitchen on the laptop. At least twice she managed to find the volume control of the mono block amps and crank them up to 11...she sh*t her self...she turned the dac off....she bought me the remote at least 3 times which is an indication that she "broke something", she found the keyboard a couple of times and she managed to power down the pc twice. grrrr

A couple of things I was impressed with:

She managed to turn on the tv and get to live tv without me being in the room

and the point:

I walked in the lounge to check on her at one point and she had the keyboard in her hand...it appeared as though she had an inset picture in the top left 1/4 of the screen and I think the guide underneath...as soon as I lifted the keyboard from her hands it went back to full screen so she must have been holding a key down, is this a known/intended function...or only a sleep deprived halucination?

There was some partial functionality in there for doing this, but it wasnt completed, so not practical to use. I cant remember the key off hand. From memory it only worked for live tv, not videos or dvds.

Yeah, it was the home key that did it in GBPVR too. It would be nice - but far from essential - functionality to have in NPVR if you ever get the chance to revisit it.

We often use(d) this feature to watch Live TV and to review the full TV Guide at the same time and think this feature has a very practical use. Functionality is a bit different to GBPVR, in that you need to pressure Home to get back to full screen Live TV. I think esc worked in GBPVR.

I actually looked at the skins yesterday by coincidence, to see how to move the location of the LiveTV inset. At present, it is in the top right hand corner, and obscures most of the relevant TV Guide data. It would be nicer to be able to shift to to the top right so that it doesn't cover the guide details (down the bottom of the screen), nor the programs for the current time (that are initially on the left side). Where are the skin details for this inset? It wasn't obvious to me which parameters to change.

There is literally no skin settings for it at this stage. It was just an experiment, and the position was hard coded.
